Boston Buying Power
Boston Buying Power, as part of the City of Boston's continued effort to assist small businesses in innovative ways, was launched in early November 2008 by Mayor Thomas M. Menino designed to harness buying power for the small business sector through access to the deregulated energy market. Boston Buying Power allows small businesses to benefit from competitive electricity and natural gas rates negotiated by an outside broker on behalf of the purchasing group.
